Melba Moore is an American prolific five-octave, four Grammy-nominated Singer and Tony Award-winning actress, most famous for her hits “Lean On Me,” “This Is It,” “You Stepped Into My Life,” “Love’s Comin’ At Ya,” “Livin’ For Your Love,” “Falling” and “A Little Bit More”.

Moore entered show business when she replaced Diane Keaton in the original Broadway production of Hair (1968), the first time an African American took over for a white entertainer on Broadway. By the age of 25, she had won a Tony Award for her work in the musical Purlie (1970). In 1975, alongside her then-husband Charles Huggins, Moore formed Hush Productions and signed R&B artist Freddie Jackson. That same year, she released her Grammy-nominated, debut album entitled Peach Melba. She has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables (1996), and released the album Happy Together (1996).
