Del Shannon Live

Released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of his death, this DVD was Del’s last filmed concert appearance (Sydney, 1989) and features Del and his band in an excellent hour-long performance. Del performs many of his own compositions, plus other songs he loved to sing. From his first hit, the unforgettable “Runaway” to one of his last songs “Walk Away”, Del gives it his all. Includes all of his classics, from “Swiss Maid” and “Do You Wanna Dance” to “Black is Black” and “(Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”. Del kept a huge following in the U.K. which continues to this day and this DVD is a fitting tribute to a great artist, singer and songwriter.

The famous, critically-acclaimed rocker, who picked up where the doo-wop groups of the 1950’s left off, is the man behind many of those implacable classics that people find humming to themselves. Shannon also appeared on a variety of TV programs, including Shindig! (1965), Hollywood A Go-Go (1985) and Late Night With David Letterman (1986).
