She became a local celebrity by appearing on the 5th season of Canadian Idol in 2007. She toured Canada, as part of Canadian Idol Top 3 Tour. She mesmerized audiences with her phenomenal voice and “girl next door” appeal. The exposure landed her a record deal with Fontana/MapleMusic, who released her debut album “Tug of War” in 2008.
Carly vowed to defy her obstacles and to become a star against all odds. After 3 long years of trials and tribulations, Carly struck gold with her smash hit “Call Me Maybe.” The single became number 1 in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Canada.
