Conspiracy is an investigation of the death of rap legend Tupac Shakur. It examines the events surrounding the investigation from two perspectives: how the events actually took place and how they were portrayed to the public.
Aftermath is a delicate sequel to Conspiracy, which takes the viewer to the days following the death of the rap artist. The fire, intensity and passion of this artist stills burns brightly in those who were inspired by him, and that is perfectly reflected here.
Tupac was an American rapper and actor and has sold over 75 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. The themes of most of Shakur’s songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems.
During the latter part of his career, Shakur was a vocal participant in the so-called East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry, becoming involved in conflicts with other rappers, producers and record-label staff members, most notably The Notorious B.I.G. and his label Bad Boy Records.
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He was taken to the Southern Nevada University Medical Center, where he died six days later.
